Who we're looking for

Toyota’s OneTech organization is looking for a passionate and highly motivated SAP Platform Engineer within the Business Platform Operations department.

The primary responsibility of this role is to work SAP platform team consisting of BASIS, Middleware, and Cloud team focusing on security and SOX compliance of the platform. Along with working with different teams internally this role requires constant working on penetration tests, find anomalies and recommending and implementing resolutions as well.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, SAP Technology, the person in this role will support the Business Platform Operations department's objective to provide in-depth knowledge of code scanning, vulnerability scanning, patch management, threat detection, and remediation of all loopholes to be compliant with SOX standards.

What you'll be doing

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining threat detection solutions for the SAP Platform. Primarily implement solution configuration to scan all SAP Applications and maintain and update the security Database from the vendor.

• Responsible for prototyping complex, cross-platform business solutions to validate newer technologies. Reviews and ensures major architectural designs are consistent, maintainable, flexible, and cost-effective solutions. Participates with application and infrastructure design architects to provide guidance for development and releases. Establishes and leads the technology strategy and technology roadmaps that enable the business, usually for a specific business capability domain.

• Design and implement a scanning schedule that will align with the technical maintenance schedule to keep the SAP Platform intact from any vulnerability.

• Educates and drives adoption of the well-architected framework to promote Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, and Cost Optimization into cultural norms.

• Collaborate with the cyber security team and publish newsletters to educate the IT community on best practices. Also, publish quarterly newsletters on threat detection and prevention.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Management Information Systems.

• Hands-on experience in Cloud Technology and adoption of Cloud Native tools to enhance the platform for SAP

• Hands-on experience in SAP Technical field with a focus on Platform security, Application security, and Cloud and Hybrid environments.

• Extensive experience in different SAP business continuity frameworks.

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to work across teams to impart ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

Added bonus if you have

• Hands-on experience with SAP cyber security solutions to identify and resolve any threats. i.e. ONAPSIS, Layer Secven security, ERPScan etc.

• Proficient in cyber security methodologies to prevent threats and perform proactive testing. 

• Ability to work with large, distributed teams onshore and offshore with diverse competencies, skills, and abilities.

• Professional certifications such as SAP certifications, Cloud certifications, SAP Architect, CISSP or similar.

• Ability to work at a fast pace under high pressure.

• Experience in Scrum and Agile methodologies.

• Strong business process knowledge.

• Experience with ONAPSIS.

• Enthusiastic and eager to take responsibility and initiative.

• Self-motivated individuals are preferred.
