Job Description
Department Overview
As one of the world’s largest investors in real estate, we own and operate iconic properties in the world’s most dynamic markets. Our global portfolio includes office, retail, multifamily, logistics, hospitality, self-storage, triple net lease, manufactured housing and student housing assets on five continents.
This role will assist with the strategic decision making, investment activities and reporting activities of real estate companies owned by Brookfield funds. Brookfield’s active oversight portfolio companies, specifically in regard to major investment, divestment and financing decisions. This is a great opportunity for a proven outstanding performer to join a dynamic and growing asset management organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Assisting the Logistics acquisition and portfolio management team in financial analysis and valuations of real estate deals across Europe.
• Modelling the impacts of the returns.
• Preparing marketing materials for both internal and external use (co-investor reporting packages, quarterly reporting, investor day presentations, etc.).
• Assisting in the preparation and review of internal fund reporting.
• Attend and participate in quarterly board meetings for the companies, helping in preparation of materials where required.
• Working closely with investment teams to assess the financial viability of potential investment opportunities ranging from single asset acquisition and development opportunities to large portfolio and corporate transactions
• Writing investment committee memoranda and presenting investment recommendations
• Supporting investment teams on all aspects of transaction due diligence
• Maintaining industry data / summarizing publicly available information on a regular basis
• Coordinating necessary research to support investment case
Technical Skills
• Strong technical, mathematical and analytical skills
• Economic, Mathematics, Finance or Real Estate higher education
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal
• Fluency in English and German
• Project planning and self-management skills
• Team player, passionate about career in real estate investment
• Proficiency in full suite of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• The role will be based out of the Brookfield’s Frankfurt office
