Job Description

About the role

The purpose of this position is to support our Brookfield Australia Shared Services Pty Limited (“BASS”) G&A finance team with all related accounting tasks.


Responsible for:


* Financial preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.

* Raising invoices, receipting and maintenance of accounts receivable ledger.

*Invoicing coding and Finance support to verify and update supplier details in Coupa.

* Collaborate with the broader team in accounting for intercompany and related party transactions.

* Assist in maintenance of general ledgers and operational activities for assigned legal entities.

* Assist in preparation of month end and quarter end close for legal entities and reporting thereof.

* Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.

*Assist in preparation of monthly BAS calculations.

* Assist in preparation of monthly cashflow forecasts.

* Assist in setting up quarterly G&A forecast & budget templates for 17 cost centres.

* Assist in preparation of reliable, succinct, and timely answers to stakeholders in relation to ad-hoc queries.

* Other ad hoc work as required including process improvement initiatives and backfilling for other roles during temporary absences.


Qualifications.

About you

* Accounting Degree or CA / CPA qualified or part qualified

* Advanced computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel applications.

* 1 to 2 years of experience in accounting field.

* Strong process and time management skills.

* Good written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to work under pressure.

* Self-management & integrity.

* Works well alone as well as in a team.

* Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.

* Excellent interpersonal skills.

* Enthusiastic and methodical.
