About the Role
Reporting to the Process Engineering Superintendent, you will:
• Provide technical support to the Production Team
• Provide guidance to the Process Engineers in the group on troubleshooting and problem solving
• Act as Processing Engineering or Production Superintendent as required
• Play a key role in Process Safety by being a Risk or Control Owner
• Provide technical support for the Operations Readiness phase of several major capital projects
• Create and be operations representative for capital and engineering works
• Complete recovery and throughput improvement projects
• Monitor critical process safety variables and participate in process safety improvement
• Provide run-down and commissioning technical support for shutdowns
• Complete process investigations and develop clear and precise actions
About You
• Chemical/Process Engineering or Metallurgy qualification
• Demonstrated sound analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent knowledge of Process Safety and Risk Management tools
• Ability to work within a flexible and dynamic team environment
• Experience in a complex processing plant environment, especially sulphuric acid and oxygen production would be well regarded

Nickel West Kalgoorlie has the capacity to produce up to 110,000 tonnes per annum of nickel matte. Nickel West Kalgoorlie incorporates a flash furnace, converters and an acid plant. A thriving regional centre, Kalgoorlie offers contemporary modern living, a vibrant sense of community and breathtaking rural landscapes. All Kalgoorlie roles are residential only.
