Title and Summary

Manager, Product Management Operations

The Manager, Network Products will join a team driving product strategy, roadmap, and execution of the future of Mastercard’s global core payments network. The payments network is Mastercard’s core strategic asset, directly driving over $8 billion in revenue and providing the platform for other key products and services.

The successful candidate will be part of the Product Operations team working tightly with Product Managers and business unit partners across Mastercard to align and deliver on business priorities. We will partner with various product areas to manage their priorities, develop execution plans in alignment with their long and short-term roadmaps, help to facilitate trade-off discussions, and provide transparency on intake requests and their status. You will identify areas for incremental investment and work with technology and product partners to build business cases to support your ideas.

The role:

• Engage internal product teams and business owners, as well as regional market-facing teams and customers around the world, to identify and understand network priorities

• Connect business priorities to technical execution by clarifying ambiguity, helping to resolve blockers, and managing expectations.

• Supports investment planning including gathering supporting data and creating proposals for incremental funding to ensure teams can meet enterprise demand and priorities

• Escalates areas of risks & opportunities; makes recommendations on resolutions

• Supports regions, business units, business partners and/or corporate to assist in developing, analyzing and validating incremental technology investment

• Works closely with Finance partners to validate business cases, assumptions, and proposed benefits for technology requests

• Creates reports and communications as needed to manage and track execution of incremental funding.

• Builds impactful communications to executive leadership to provide transparency into intake requests

• Acts as a subject matter expert in helping Network Products Product Managers to navigate the intake process

• Proposes recommendations for simplification and continuous improvement

• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by leveraging the learning & development curriculum to augment existing knowledge, skills and experiences

• Lead by example with hands-on approaches to demonstrate product management excellence and share best practices

• Demonstrate and drive Mastercard Way behaviors through their behavior, (e.g. customer and stakeholder interactions)


About you:

• Prior experience in payments preferred

• Experience reviewing and analyzing financial reporting and analysis of results (e.g.. monthly financial results, quarterly forecasting, annual budgets)

• Experience creating business cases for projects or products (10MM+), tracking execution

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments; flexibility to handle rapidly changing scenarios

• Ability to work with ambiguity and manage complex projects; successfully manage multiple responsibilities and tasks

• Constant curiosity, willing to dive deep and learn about our technology, system structure, and rules

• Analytical, data and problem-solving skills that go beyond the numbers; able to use data to tell a story and influence decision makers

• Known for your ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels, especially to executives, both written and verbal

• Strong visual presentation skills, including data visualization and the ability to produce clear, compelling slides

• Demonstrated success in managing strategic efforts; strong organization, attention to detail and task management is expected

• Values collaboration and inclusion, ability to work cross-functionally

• Builds relationships and cultivates networks with ease, interacting with varying levels of leadership across the organization; ability to lead and influence at all levels
